iPipe has recently developed a proprietary low point drain (LPD) for gathering networks. This low cost efficient design has been tested and applied in field by QGC and SANTOS in their gathering networks.
The LPD’s can be placed anywhere within the gas gathering network to remove water from the low points. The specialised design enables the LPD to be fitted up to 150m back from the actual low point which means it is easily accessible during floods or problematic areas. The unit can be fitted during greenfield construction and is also easily retro fitted during the operational life of the network.
The LPD has the additional benefit of being fully removable with no disruption to the network with no need for isolation or de-pressurisation of the system allowing the unit to be re-used multiple times once the gathering system is free of water.
Win for Arrow Energy Gathering Installation
The works included detailed design, Engineering and HAZOP, planning and execution of 7km gathering piping (Gas and Water), 9 lease pads and well site separators installations including E&I installation and pressure testing.
Final connections were completed into live operational system with no operational stoppages. iPipe delivered and executed the works safely, within budget whilst meeting all client’s expectations and objectives for the project.
